Guidance

At Sandford Park School we provide a Whole School Guidance approach. This ensures that students are empowered to look to their future with guidance and support from all school staff. Career Guidance is a holistic process which values each individual student and focuses on three interrelated strands.

Sandford Park’s Guidance Department is dedicated to providing comprehensive support to students in their personal, academic, and career development. Our experienced guidance counsellors are available to assist students with a range of services, from individual counselling sessions to group workshops, academic planning, goal setting, CAO submission, career exploration, and personal well-being.

The Guidance Department is committed to creating a safe and supportive environment where students can discuss their concerns, navigate challenges, and make informed decisions about their future, ensuring each student receives the guidance and support they need to thrive academically and personally.

Wellbeing & Counselling

Developing and maintaining a safe, caring culture where individuality is celebrated and a sense of belonging, and connectedness is fostered is at the heart of the school’s ethos.

All students at Sandford Park School have access to the Guidance Counsellor for counselling in an individual group setting. Students can request a meeting to discuss issues of a personal, relational, educational or career related matter. Students can also be referred to speak to the Guidance Counsellor by staff or parents.
