Benjamin Griffiths, Alfie Stephenson, and Sam Colleary competed in the Stripe Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition. Their project was titled ‘Artificial Intelligence: Help or Hindrance to those with Dyslexia?’ and investigated whether people affected by dyslexia perform better in school when aided by artificial intelligence or when aided by a teacher. They performed very well and got a ‘Highly Commended’ in the Intermediate Social & Behavioural Sciences category and a special prize from the Atlantic Technological University. Well done!

On Friday, we took all Form 2 students and some Transition Year student helpers to the Stripe Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition in the RDS. This was to see the other students’ entries and to visit the various hands-on science exhibitions which are put on in association with the competition. It is also a great opportunity for the students to gather some inspiration and tips for their upcoming CBA projects.
