The Sandscript were delighted to embark on a trip to Leinster House on March 10th. The students were given an enlightening tour where they learned about the rich history of the building and the innerworkings of modern Irish politics from our stellar tour guide JJ. Unfortunately, we were too early to see the newly framed portrait of President Catherine Connolly, however, the ‘Women in the Seanad’ exhibition and the possessions of Countess Markievicz on display proved to be inspirational highlights of the trip.
