On Monday 13th October, members of the Green Schools Committee accompanied by Ms. Duggan and Ms. Senior attended an ‘Ocean action and appreciation workshop’ at Bull Island. This involved hearing from Pat, the manager of the Bull Island Interpretive Centre, who spoke to us about the history and creation of Bull Island and the wonderful and varied biodiversity present in Bull Island. We then broke into three groups, mixed with the other schools present, to take part in a litter pick up, photography workshop and biodiversity search. This was followed by a pizza lunch. Everyone had a lovely day, and learned a lot that we can bring back and share with the other committee members for our other required actions this year for our ‘Global Citizenship Marine Environment’ theme.
